Sarah’s Earth Day 2022 poetry competition was launched on 22nd February and the theme was ‘Pocket Planet’.
Entries arrived from all over England and Wales and from as far away as India and South Africa, written by pupils aged 5 to 17 and from 17 different schools. Half of the entries were from primary schools and the other half from secondary schools, two-thirds of the entries were by girls and a third by boys.
Sarah would like to thank everyone who took part. She really enjoyed reading all the entries and was both moved and inspired by the thought and creativity all the entrants put into writing their poems.
